Preston home care firm increases turnover 150%
Preston-based Community Life Choices (CLC), the home care firm, has increased its turnover by 150% during its fourth year of trading, putting the company on track to achieve its £2 million target during 2015.
The year end figures follow a busy year for CLC, which has seen the company build on its market-leading approach to providing person-centred care and support for vulnerable adults, children and elderly people, with complex care needs.
The company has now added case management to its range of services, which also include outreach, managed accounts and payroll support.
CLC won two local authority contracts over the past year, including Halton Borough Council and Warrington Borough Council, which appointed CLC to provide support services to disabled children and young people.
Alan Frew, managing director of Community Life Choices, said: “After just four years in business, CLC has established an enviable reputation for providing tailored care and support for a diverse range of clients including those with learning disabilities, mental ill health and complex care needs.
“We have not only succeeded in expanding geographically, with local authority contracts across the North West and as far afield as Birmingham and Aberdeenshire, but we’ve also adapted to new trends in the social care landscape, including the introduction of personal budgets.”
The company now plans to sustain its growth with a three-year business development strategy aligned to evolving social care and health commissioner priorities to achieve a £2 million turnover during 2015 and £3 million by 2016.
Alan continues: “Our expertise in the social care sector means that we are ready to adapt to change to ensure that we continue to maintain high service standards and grow as a business.
“Our customer-led approach is ideally suited to the personalisation at the heart of the Care Act, which will come into force in April.
“With state provision under increasing strain, we are one of the few players in the marketplace with a business model founded on the principles of individual choice and control. We’re confident that we will continue to develop our client base thanks to services that dovetail the care agenda.”
