Manchester City to negotiate new £80m-a-year sponsorship deal
Manchester City are negotiating a new £80m-a-year sponsorship deal with Etihad.
City are four years into a ten year agreement, which is worth £400m, and are renegotiating the terms of the deal.
Currently the deal is worth £40 million a year to the club and includes sponsorship of shirts, training kits and naming rights to the club’s stadium.
However, City pay the local council £2 million a year for the right to rebrand the stadium which means that it is earning less than most top clubs for its sponsorship.
