Minister for Communities praises Hanham Hall
A visit to Barratt’s award-winning Hanham Hall development was on the agenda for Communities and Local Government Minister and Bristol West MP Stephen Williams who said the scheme has successfully transformed a local eyesore into a modern, innovative housing and business development.
Hanham Hall in South Gloucestershire has been designed and built by Barratt on land owned by the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and has proved a success with all 185 homes set to be complete later this year.
“The Hanham Hall site is progressing very well, providing much needed new homes, helping local people get onto the property ladder and creating more than 150 jobs,’’ said Mr Williams.
“Around half the homes built so far are affordable homes funded by government and further homes have been bought through the government’s Help to Buy scheme.
David Bond, technical director for Barratt said he was pleased to be able to showcase the development to the Minister. “We have a number of innovations at Hanham Hall which is one of the country’s most important new developments of spacious, energy efficient homes and we were delighted with the interest the Minister showed in the development.’’
