Print City fully-integrated at Wakefield Europort following acquisition
Print Trade Suppliers Ltd (PTS), has completed the integration of Print City into its site at Wakefield Europort following the acquisition of the former Barnsley-based business.
The acquisition of the Print City, which was established more than 21 years ago, has created a single outlet that can deliver all requirements for trade customers of any size.
Launched in 2013 with sites at Wakefield Europort and Accrington, PTS Ltd is a dedicated trade supplier which runs independently in the trade market, working for leading print suppliers and brokers of all sizes.
General manager for PTS, Ann Harrington said: “The acquisition of Print City further supports our commitment to our trade business. The market has become more competitive and we know that we need to continue to invest in our capabilities and offering in order to retain our position as a leading provider to the trade market.”
Former chairman of Print City, Mike Brennan, who joins PTS as Director of Sales, commented: “The consolidation of Print City into PTS allows us to have a single entity that will supply the whole of the trade marketplace. “Times continue to be challenging but bringing machinery and experience together gives us a solid platform from which to operate to the benefit of our customers and prospects.”
As a result of the acquisition 22 employees from Print City chose to TUPE across to the business.
