New senior appointment at Broadacres
Housing association Broadacres has appointed Chris Fawcett as its new Business Support Director.
Chris, who was formerly Broadacres’ Head of ICT, is heading a corporate directorate which encompasses a range of ‘support’ areas including HR, communications, IT, health and safety and the customer contact centre. He is also Company Secretary for Broadacres.
The 39-year-old has taken over from Guru Naidoo, who retired recently after 15 years with Broadacres.
He said: “I am delighted to have been appointed to this role and to succeed Guru, who made a fantastic contribution to making Broadacres such a modern, forward-thinking organisation.
“My aim is to provide a working environment which will allow staff to provide the best possible services to our customers and meet their current and future needs.
“We will continue to keep Broadacres as the employer of choice in our local area, ensuring we attract and retain the best people who are committed to providing real social value and helping people in our community.”
Chris joined Broadacres from Hambleton District Council in 2009, where he was Head of ICT.
He added: “Throughout all of my roles I have concentrated on delivering outcomes to the business which are customer focused, motivating and offering efficient ways of working. I hope in my new role I will be able to continue my success and help Broadacres and our customers achieve the best possible results.”
Steve Towers, Chief Executive of Broadacres, said: “Chris had to undergo a rigorous recruitment and selection process, but it’s pleasing that we have been able to appoint from within the organisation for this role.
“He is an excellent addition to the executive team at Broadacres and he will play an important part in ensuring we continue to place our customers at the heart of everything we do.”
