Nostrum named in Northern Tech 50 once again

Nostrum Group has been named in the Northern Tech 50 for the second consecutive year – confirming its status as one of the top 50 fastest growing technology companies in the North.

The awards, which are run on a not-for-profit basis, have been running since 2011 and are organised by GP Bullhound, the international technology investment bank. This year’s ceremony will be held in Leeds on 26th March. The top 50 fastest growing technology companies are ranked by revenue growth over the last three years.

Richard Carter, Chief Executive of Nostrum, says: “We’re delighted to once again be recognised in these awards and it’s great that this initiative has been put in place to help put the spotlight on the growing technology sector in the north.

“I really feel that as a region we need to do more to raise the profile of the great technology-focused businesses that are now operating here. Leeds is recognised as a digital hub in terms of the creative industry, but the strength of the region goes much deeper than this. Initiatives like the Northern Tech 50 can only help but there’s much more we need to do.”

Nostrum has recently become involved in the Dotforge initiative to set up a FinTech accelerator in Leeds. Dotforge Social Ventures is an accelerator and investment programme for social entrepreneurs who want to harness the power of digital technology to realise positive social change.

Nostrum has also just been named in the London Stock Exchange’s list of ‘1000 companies to inspire Britain’, having recorded revenue growth of 467% since 2010. The firm reported record results of £9m for the financial year ending 31st December 2014, up from £7m the previous year
