Award Sponsor commends innovation in retail
Retail Week Award sponsor, Executive Search company Veredus, has congratulated footwear retailer Clarks on its ‘well-deserved’ win.
The Veredus Customer Service Initiative of the Year award was presented to Clarks at last week’s ceremony at the Grosvenor Hotel, London, in recognition of its iPad Foot Gauge System. The tool uses a ‘digi-tape’ and an iOS app to help measure children’s feet and display lists of available shoes. The company enjoyed record-breaking back-to-school sales in 2014.
Commenting on Clarks’ accolade, Sarah-Jayne Bennell, Director and Head of Consumer and Retail Practice at Veredus comments;
“On behalf of Veredus, I’d like to congratulate Clarks on its well-deserved win. As a specialist search and selection consultancy with extensive experience within the retail sector, we understand the importance of innovation in customer experience. As this award has highlighted, providing a professional and functional service is no longer enough, retailers must push the boundaries to design and deliver an experience that has the wow-factor. The iPad Foot Gauge System proves that technological innovation doesn’t have to mark the end of traditional brand values. I’m sure that retail executives will be inspired by Clark’s approach to customer attraction and retention and the company’s subsequent success.”
