Award-winning holiday park celebrates its 10th anniversary with a party
The award-winning Hollicarrs Holiday Park in Riccall Road, Escrick, near York, celebrates its 10th anniversary this year – and will be marking the occasion with a special Open Day on Saturday May 9th.
Set in 25 acres of woodland in the grounds of the historic Escrick Park Estate, Hollicarrs Holiday Park features more than a 100 bespoke lodges and holiday homes. It has a range of activities including fishing, horse riding, bowling and tennis, while cycle trails run through the estate, which has many pretty woodland walks.
The Open Day will enable visitors to look at what Hollicarrs has to offer, meet the owners of the lodges and holiday homes, sample the facilities on offer and enjoy entertainment and refreshments laid on especially for the day.
The Open Day, starts at 10.00 am and will features a number of special events including:
Anniversary cake cut by the oldest and newest owner – which will be presented by Charlie Forbes Adam, who owns and manages Hollicarrs.
Cocktail Camper
Ice cream sundaes.
Spit Roast/BBQ food
Afternoon teas
Archery display and competition
Boules and green bowling demonstration.
Healing Clinic taster massages
Golf Buggy rides around the park
Complimentary raffle ticket to win a free weekend stay at Hollicarrs.
Dawn Buck, Hollicarrs manager and one of the organisers of the anniversary celebrations, explained: “We will be very excited to announce the launch of a special limited addition Anniversary Lodge, which will have lots of extras, including built in Blue Tooth music system, vaulted ceilings, brand-new contemporary colour schemes, fixtures and fittings.
The holiday park is the brainchild of Charlie Forbes-Adam, who manages the Escrick Park estate, of which Hollicarrs is part. Mr Forbes Adam wanted to create an extra special experience for holiday home owners.
The Open Day begins at 10.00am and continues until 4.00 pm. Everyone is welcome. There will be demonstration lodges, fully furnished and sited, available for viewing on the day, but almost any type of lodge or holiday home can be purchased from an extensive range, with special offers available for one day only.
