Regus Leeds celebrates 15 year anniversary

Demand for flexible workspace continues to rise, says Regus

Leeds, 19th March 2015 – This month, the world’s largest flexible workspace provider, Regus, is celebrating the 15th anniversary of its business centre at the Thorpe Park Business Park in Leeds.

Since opening in 2000, flexible workspace in the Regus centre has made it easier for hundreds of firms– from local start-ups to multinationals – to do business. Indeed, flexible working is still gaining popularity in Leeds; research shows that almost a third (29%) of companies in the city have increased flexible working in the past year.

Across its 320 UK locations, Regus has witnessed the trend for companies to turn away from traditional leased offices as they strive to keep overheads down and work in more productive, modern and environmentally-conscious ways.

Tony Austwick, Co-founder & President, Software2 and a Regus customer said: “We’ve been based at the Regus centre at Thorpe Park Business Park for the past four years. Having investigated several workspace options including traditional long-term leased offices and managed service offices, we found the Regus offering to be competitive on price. As an expanding company, having the flexibility to take more space as and when we need it also continues to be a big draw for us.

“In addition, the centre team are incredibly friendly and professional, and over the years have become like an extension of our company. It’s great to know that even when our core staff are out and about there’s people available to complete general admin like taking call messages and sorting post.”

Richard Morris, CEO of Regus in the UK comments: “We are proud that the Leeds centre has reached its fifteenth birthday and I extend my personal thanks to the centre team, who I know work closely with our clients to keep things running smoothly.

“Business has changed so much over this period and, as a company, we have innovated our offering to suit today’s workforce. We offer clients flexible workspaces that are professional, high quality and designed to foster wellbeing and drive efficiency.

“Clients tell us that by saving money on expensive leases and bills they are left with more money to invest in growing their business. In addition, using flexible workspace is proven to translate directly into productivity gains.”
