Talis UK to launch innovative new valve and water campaign at Utility Week Live
Talis UK, the leading UK valve, meterbox and water fitting specialist, is to unveil its latest energy saving butterfly valve at this year’s Utility Week Live incorporating IWEX tradeshow. Alongside this, it will also be launching its new 20:20 Challenge and water management report to help raise awareness of key water management issues.
Utility Week Live incorporating IWEX, the new conference and exhibition for those working in the water, gas and electricity industries, is the perfect platform for Talis UK to officially launch its new ROCO wave valve. The latest in ERHARD’s proven range of valves, the ROCO wave represents a new generation of butterfly values. It has been designed in a flow-optimised way so it can safely withstand the force of water, as well as realise the least possible pressure loss compared with other butterfly valves available on the market.
An interactive 3D projection of the new ROCO wave will be available for visitors to view on the stand (E10) and the team at Talis UK will be on hand to discuss its benefits.
During the event, the team will also be discussing its new campaign which is based on its latest research, which found that most people in the UK are unaware of the major risks to our nation’s water supplies. The Talis UK 20:20 report aims to raise awareness of the importance of effective water management so that there is greater public engagement and support towards protecting this precious resource. The report also intends to encourage a 20 litre reduction in personal water usage and a 20% reduction in water leakages in the hope that this combined achievement will save 1.99 billion litres of water each day.
Visitors to the stand will also have the chance to enter a competition to win the use of a VW campervan, named Bluebell, for a weekend of their choice. In order to enter, all delegates have to do is answer three questions based on the new ROCO wave valve.
Mark Hodgens, managing director of Talis UK, said: “Utility Week Live incorporating IWEX is a fantastic opportunity to showcase our latest innovations, keep up-to-date with the newest developments and network with people from the industry.
“Water management is an important issue at the moment and it will only grow in severity if we do not tackle it as a nation. We are looking to address this at the exhibition with our 20:20 Challenge which aims to highlight the issues that our water supply is facing. This is so that the public and the water industry can together gain a better understanding into ways that they can help to reduce water consumption and protect the resource in the long term.”
