Carpenter Box wins prestigious regional award

Worthing and Gatwick-based chartered accountants and tax advisers, Carpenter Box, has won the Professional Services Firm of the Year category of the Gatwick Diamond Business Awards 2015.

They were presented with the accolade in front of an audience of over 600 by David Rawlance of Lloyds Bank, who sponsored the award, at a glittering ceremony at the Effingham Park Hotel hosted by comedian and actor Hugh Dennis.

On presenting the Award, David Rawlance, said: “This was an excellent application from a strong locally based firm. Carpenter Box scored extremely well across the board and especially on Client Service, Industry Knowledge and Making a Difference to clients and the final scoring differential was very fine.

“Ultimately the innovative use of new technologies to attract a new generation of clients and the Rising Star programme were two factors that made the difference.”

Carpenter Box Practice Director, Chris Coopey, is understandably thrilled with the news, commenting: “We are delighted to win this very prestigious award, which is very much a recognition of the excellent and expert service our team of around 120 accountants, auditors and tax advisers delivers to our clients; they are always willing to go that extra mile. Fortuitously, this has come just as we are about to open larger offices in Crawley which will see us offering our award winning service to even more clients in the surrounding area.”

Jeremy Taylor of Gatwick Diamond Business, founder of the Awards, added: “Each year we get more and more interest in the awards and this year, our seventh, gave another record number of entries. It was also a record number of attendees, all who came along to reflect on and recognise the quality, diversity and achievement of some outstanding businesses and the people who work in them.”

The Professional Services Firm of the Year category recognises those who have delivered exceptional service to their clients, demonstrating innovation and outstanding expert knowledge in their field, whilst exhibiting excellence in conforming to relevant rules and regulations.

The Gatwick Diamond is a key economic area, not just for the South East, but for the whole of the UK and the business awards celebrate those who have shown innovation and inspiration in their work, as well as real commitment to the region. The awards have become one of the regions premier business occasions recognising the ‘best of the best’.
