New home and fresh ambition for Liverpool lawyers
Liverpool law firm Morecofts has relocated from Tithebarn Street to purpose-built offices in the Cotton Yard, part of Old Hall Street’s Cotton Exchange – and aims to use the new premises as a springboard for growth.
The firm has retained its ties with commercial property landlords Bruntwood, having occupied a Bruntwood building in Dale Street before moving to Tithebarn Street in 2005.
Morecrofts’ new base is home to 57 staff, including 13 partners. The firm celebrated its 200th anniversary in 2013.
Now its new home will herald a period of growth, according to managing partner Alison Lobb.
She said: “The Cotton Exchange is a perfect location to work from as it embeds us further into the commercial district, giving us a strategic platform to develop every area of our business and to capitalise on the huge future opportunities that come from being one of the region’s most established law firms.”
She believes lawyers must operate more on business lines: “We pride ourselves on our flexibility, advanced technology and collaborative approach.”
