Cheshire Scientific firm makes Inspire Britain list

A Warrington based company has been identified in the London Stock Exchanges 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain 2015 report, further defining the area as a hub for leading international business.

Hiden Instruments specialises in the international manufacturing of high precision scientific instruments and has been acknowledged in the highly regarded list as one of the fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) in the UK.

The Hiden Group has been located in Warrington since the parent company, Hiden Analytical, was established in 1981. Hiden Isochema has had a head office at Gemini Business Park since 2003.

The group now has two main facilities in Gemini Business Park and the ambition is to create a Hiden group campus as the business expands further to specialise in providing equipment to their customers in Universities, research, development and process industries across the world.

Councillor Terry O’Neill, Leader, Warrington Borough Council said: “We are immensely proud that Hiden Instruments has been recognised in this way. We are immensely proud to have such a world market leading company based here.”

He added: “Warrington works hard to attract businesses both local and internationally and we show this by maintaining our commitment to infrastructure and development that creates and sustains the necessary environment to allow such companies to grow.”

The Hiden group is headquartered in Warrington where it has manufacturing, research and development facilities for both Hiden Analytical and Hiden Isochema. The business has a further three offices in the USA; in New Hampshire, Michigan and California, and also a network of agents and distributors throughout Europe, Asia, South America and Australasia.

The Hiden group has a broad sector focus serving researchers in the chemical, automotive, aerospace, semiconductor and nuclear industries. 90% of Hiden Isochema instruments are exported and there are now instruments located on all of the six populated continents.
