Flybe introduces five routes at Newcastle Airport
Regional airline, Flybe started operating its 2015 Summer Schedule from Newcastle Airport on Sunday (29th March) that features five routes
The routes include a brand new double daily service to London Stansted; daily flights to Belfast City and Exeter; a multi-frequency service to Southampton and the return of seasonal Saturday flights to Newquay between May and September.
One way fares start at £27.99 including taxes and charges.
Flybe’s chief commercial officer, Paul Simmons, says: “We’re really pleased to start our Summer programme that includes new year-round flights between Newcastle and London Stansted.
“Bolstering regional connectivity is our number one aim at Flybe and we’re always looking for ways to expand this throughout the UK. We look forward to welcoming all our new passengers on board.”
Newcastle International Airport’s Aviation Development manager, Leon McQuaid, said: “We’re delighted to launch this new double daily service to London Stansted. The route will improve connectivity to the South East of England and drive economic growth.
“Regional connectivity is important for both business and leisure travellers so we’re thrilled to welcome Stansted to the schedule.
“London Stansted is not only a gateway to the capital, but also gives very easy access to the surrounding counties of Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk.”
