£17m Altrincham Hospital completed by Pochin’s Ltd
Construction and property development company Pochin’s Ltd has announced the practical completion of the new Altrincham Hospital.
Pochin’s worked in partnership with developer Citybranch to deliver the project on behalf of Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The £17m project will replace Altrincham’s existing hospital.
Development Director of Pochin’s Ltd, Bob Nicholson, said: “The conclusion of this project marks the arrival of a truly world-class medical facility for the Trust and the local community around Trafford and Altrincham.
“The delivery of this project to schedule is in no small part due to the close working relationship we have fostered with both the Trust and Citybranch, and we look forward to working with them again in future.
“This is an extremely exciting time for Altrincham as the area undergoes significant regeneration, and this new facility will play an integral part in supporting further developments.”
Chairman of Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Steve Mycio, said: “We are delighted that our plans to create a new state-of-the-art community hospital for Altrincham have finally come to fruition.
“This development will provide an expanded range of general and specialist health services in a modern, high quality healthcare environment.
“We look forward to the hospital opening at the end of April.”
Director at Citybranch, Adam Gross, said: “We’re extremely pleased with the final outcome of this project, which will deliver a vital boost to healthcare services in Trafford.
“Not only that, Altrincham Hospital will provide support for further development in the area as Altrincham undergoes a period of sustained regeneration.”
