Harrogate’s Continued Care awarded 4-year contract with North Yorkshire County Council
North Yorkshire County Council have awarded Harrogate-based Continued Care a four-year contract to provide domiciliary care services for older people, the vulnerable and children with disabilities.
After securing the contract, Continued Care, which is one of the only three suppliers commissioned on the framework, will have to recruit additional staff to meet the increased demand of the agreement.
To win the contract, which is expected to help Continued Care grow significantly, the home care services provider beat tough competition from several other providers, including national franchise agencies, having demonstrated its care training and systems.
This includes the use of smartphone technology as well as secure web portals for clients to manage appointment times.
Based at Hornbeam Park, Continued Care was established in 1992 and is a family-owned and run business. It specialises in providing an extensive range of services which are designed to support and assist people within the comfort and surroundings of their own home.
Continued Care’s services range from help with cleaning, shopping, personal care and medication administration along with 24-hour care which usually occurs when someone experienced a sudden illness, a return from hospital or because they just need some extra support.
Samantha Harrison, Continued Care director, said: “I am delighted for all our existing clients, our care staff and business to have secured the NYCC tender.
“I would like to thank all the contributions that the staff team at Continued Care made and to thank our team of dedicated carers who assist our clients to remain at home as independently as possible.
Samantha added: “Working in care is not an easy career but we recognise and value the great job they do day in day out. Continued Care is proud of this latest achievement which comes on the back of last summer’s award of gold status accreditation by Investors in People.
“We continue to invest significantly in our staff development and training and to support them, which remains fundamental to our business.”
