House of Britannia partners with London tailors Benson & Clegg

The House of Britannia Plc, which owns Cornella James, glove maker to the Queen, has signed an exclusive marketing agreement with bespoke London tailors Benson & Clegg.

Founded in 1937, Benson & Clegg has two Royal warrants. The first was granted in 1944 by King George VI, appointing the firm as his official tailor. The second was granted in 1992 by Prince Charles for the supply of buttons, badges and military neckwear.

Today, Benson and Clegg continues to supply bespoke tailoring and handmade British accessories, such as cufflinks, badges and ties from its shop in London’s Piccadilly Arcade.

The exclusive marketing agreement between the British Luxury investment group and Benson & Clegg will lead to the opening of a new generation of Benson & Clegg shops, initially in Japan and Singapore, with the intention of opening in other territories in due course.
