British Estate Agents are Moving back to Spain
Spanish & UK Property Portal Agentswall reported yesterday that “The Spanish Property Bull Market is Back!”
A sure sign that the Spanish Property Market is finally on the up is the number of UK and International Estate Agencies returning to the popular Coastal areas especially the Costa del Sol.
On the Costa del Sol, the very well known British Franchise agency Winkworth have recently opened their new Spanish offices in January 2015 located in the Guadalmina commercial Center close to Marbella.
Chesterton’s announced their association with the Spanish agency ‘Affinity’ to market properties on the Costa del Sol to the growing number of British buyers.
Joining the bandwagon, UK company Cluttons, having previously closed their Spanish offices during the property crisis, have recently announced their return to the Spanish Market opening a brand new office on the famous Marbella Golden Mile.
Jo Leverett, heading up Cluttons International Residential Market says, “We have opened in Spain because after seven years of price falls, we are now seeing an increase in demand and property transactions”.
On the Costa Brava the fast growing Brazilian property experts UV10.com have launched their new Headquarters in Barcelona hoping to attract both British & International Buyers.
Commenting on the new offices, Sales Director, Samantha Gore says, “ Prices have really bottomed out in Spain and, as European economic conditions steadily improve, overseas investors are flocking back in great numbers. Spain is the ‘devil you know’ for many northern Europeans, easily accessible with great flight connections“.
Together with Sotheby’s & Savills, leading UK developers Taylor Wimpey have maintained a strong presence in Spain particularly in the property “Hot Spots” of Marbella, Majorca and Ibiza and have recently been joined by Knights Frank Spain who are specializing in the high end Marbella property market in conjunction with the long established Agency Diana Morales.
Tourism is also on the up and according to figures released by the institute of Tourism studies; Spain has recently broken two records in January and February 2015. The records show that during the months of January and February 2015, Spain had 6.5 million international tourists spending over 6.6 billion Euros – a new record on both counts. This trend is expected to continue throughout 2015 especially with the current sterling to euro exchange rate.
Letting Agents are reporting a massive shortage in rental properties as demand continues to rise along with the prices and sales in the popular Coastal resorts are once again booming with new developments selling out in days.
There is a real Buzz around Spanish Property right now with low prices, cheap flights and fabulous weather. Spain is once again becoming the hot destination for British and European tourists and buyers!
