Kenilworth Show extends partnership with Tickets For Troops
The organisers behind popular agricultural event, the Kenilworth Show, are extending their Tickets For Troops offer to mark the invaluable contributions of the armed forces.
Kenilworth and District Agricultural Society (KADAS), which organises Coventry and Warwickshire’s biggest one-day agricultural event, is once again generously providing 100 free tickets to each of its next three annual events.
Following the popularity of this offer in 2014, KADAS has extended the invitation to Tickets for Troops for this year’s show on Saturday, June 6, and two further events, to mark the four years of World War I.
Tickets For Troops is a charity which specialise in rewarding currently serving personnel and those medically discharged from military duty since 2001 with tickets to an event of their choice.
The Kenilworth show was a big hit with members of the armed forces in 2014, and William Campbell-Lamerton, from Tickets for Troops, is grateful to see the generous offer has been extended once again.
“We are always looking to expand our cultural offering and the Kenilworth Show was really popular last year, all the tickets were snapped up very quickly,” said William.
“It’s very important to have ongoing partnerships like this as people know the show will come up every year”
“It is an extremely generous gesture of the Kenilworth Show to extend their ticket offer to our armed forces over the next four years to mark World War One.”
Kenilworth Show director Charlie Weetman is delighted to have been able to lengthen the show committee’s offer to the charity.
“It was fantastic to have 100 of our hard-working troops with us at the show last year and it will be great to welcome them once again on June 6,” he said.
“Everyone is immensely proud of the contributions of our servicemen and women and to offer them the opportunity to attend such events as our special guests is the very least we can do.”
