Tynemouth Pool gym reopens following latest investment
The health suite and gym at Tynemouth Pool has reopened after major improvement work and installation of brand new fitness equipment.
The gym now has all new resistance machines, five new treadmills, two adaptive motion trainers and an upgrade to the Fitlinxx system, which tracks and records workouts so gym users can review their session.
The pool’s health suite and associated changing rooms have all been redecorated and new flooring and wall coverings have been installed.
The work has been carried out as part of an ongoing programme of investment in North Tyneside Council’s leisure sites.
Further investment includes the introduction of the innovative ‘In Body’ technology to all of the five council gyms. ‘In Body’ uses an electrical pulse to measure body strength, muscle mass and body fat percentage, allowing instructors to design the perfect mix of activities to achieve the right results.
‘In Body’ is currently available at The Parks, Waves, Hadrian Leisure and the Lakeside Centre. Tynemouth Pool will follow in the next couple of weeks.
