Stockport hire business wins national award
The quality of Marple-based Wright Hire’s equipment hire operation has been recognised by the industry across UK and Ireland, by being awarded one of only three national accolades at Executive Hire Show Passionate Hirer Awards 2015.
Founded in 1978, Wright Hire is a well-established family business hiring a wide range of tools, light plant and equipment, serving customers across the region.
The company was nominated in the Small to Medium Hire Centre category, from more than 800 outlets throughout the UK and Ireland, which members of the Show team visited in the lead-up to the annual exhibition, held last month at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
Following ‘mystery shopper’ visits and calls to their depot, Wright Hire, along with other finalists, were scrutinised under a broad range of criteria including: presentation and functionality of premises; staff enthusiasm and competence; efficiency in handling enquiries and orders; quality of products and delivery vehicles; and innovation in offering a wide range of equipment and exploring new technological opportunities.
The quality of the company’s printed promotional materials and website was also assessed, along with feedback from customers and suppliers.
Wright Hire came out top of the pile and picked up their Passionate Hirer of the Year award in their category.
The Awards judges commented: “Wright Hire have built a sound reputation for equipment quality and service to their customers. They are an excellent example of a family-run hire business that was established in the early days of the tool hire boom and has remained committed to the core values of our industry.
“The hire fleet is backed by extensive in-house works and service facilities, and staff exhibit a high level of commitment to the hire industry.”
