Company sales grow by 38% for North East home improvement company
North East home improvement company Pennine Home Improvements has grown sales by 38% over the last three years, leading to more business than ever expected in 2015.
Pennine has revealed that sales of its products, including conservatories, orangeries, windows and doors, increased by more than £3m between 2011 and 2014, soaring from £8.04m to £11.1m.
To meet consumer demand, the company has also grown its workforce by more than a third, with 40 new roles created since the start of 2011.
Pennine now employs 150 staff and is currently recruiting to fill another six positions to help continue to expand the business.
Graham Auld, Managing Director, said: “Short term we want to grow 10% year on year, while long term we are looking to invest and modernise the business with a view to fulfilling our mission statement: to be a cut above.
“To do this we’ve employed some of the best people from within our industry and outside of it, to create a new way of company thinking.”
One such recruit is Brand Director Mark Tinnion, who joined Pennine after marketing roles with Sony, Intel and brand consultancy Violet Bick.
Mark said: “Our focus is on developing a customer centric company that re-defines what people think of the home improvement experience. We will set new standards of service for our industry and change people’s perceptions of double glazing companies. We will relentlessly focus on this objective going forward.
“Pennine has long been a trusted brand in the region, which is something we are extremely proud of. We are working actively to build on this reputation even further.”
Pennine has four showrooms across the North East, including its flagship in Benton. The brand is also represented at various Homebase stores, garden centres and home improvement stores throughout the region.
