Cigital Teams with IBM: Application Security Challenges Insight

Cigital, Inc., the industry leader in software security solutions, today announced it is working with IBM to deliver Cigital’s Application Security Testing Managed Services through IBM’s Application Security Management framework.

With Cigital’s Application Security Testing Managed Services, organizations will have access to the flexibility, scalability, quality, predictable economics and remediation expertise necessary to reduce risks and ensure business continuity. IBM’s customers will be able to leverage Cigital’s Application Security Testing Managed Services, including the 3D Application Security Testing annual subscription and multiple assessment bundles.

Cigital has significant experience building security into apps, gained by delivering thousands of tests a year using IBM’s AppScan scanning tool. Cigital’s security experts review each report to prioritize the findings, eliminate false positives and provide remediation guidance to assist customers in addressing the discovered issues. For customers, the process consists of using a web-based portal to schedule tests and view the results. This frictionless process empowers customers to concentrate on remediating vulnerabilities, which lowers organizational risk. Furthermore, the flexibility of the Cigital offerings enables customers to readily respond to emerging business requirements and evolving threats.
