WRS win Queen’s Award for Enterprise

Altrincham/Cheshire – based Energy Recruitment company Worldwide Recruitment Solutions (WRS) have been selected as one of the Queen’s finest businesses in 2015 for Enterprise in International Trade, on the back of increasing international sales over the past six years.

The prestigious awards celebrate outstanding business achievements by UK companies, the International Trade category in particular championing UK businesses demonstrating performance on the international market and a contribution to the economy through global trade.

Former Business and Energy Minister Michael Fallon (2013), “The Queen’s Awards highlight our strong entrepreneurial streak and the excellent businesses we have up and down the country who are growing, creating jobs, making a valuable contribution to the economy and helping us to compete in the global race.”

Francis Dunleavy, Operations Director of WRS, said “This is a tremendous achievement for all of us. It is truly an honour to be recognised by Her Majesty the Queen for the work we have done over the past 6 years. We have come a long way in that time, from just 5 employees to now over 80 across our global network. The award is a testament to the work our staff have done over the years and I’d personally like to thank each and every one of them.”

During the past 6 years, WRS have placed candidates in over 50 countries; export business in 2013 accounted for 84% of their £22m turnover with their largest trade regions being Europe and Asia. Operating within the Energy industries WRS has to be a global business – one which can change and adapt to accommodate major projects wherever they are happening.

Managing Director Mark Brown and Francis Dunleavy will be attending the awards ceremony in July, held at Buckingham Palace.
