Katie Cosgrove becomes director at McLintocks
McLintocks Chartered Accountants & Business Advisors has appointed chartered accountant and tax specialist Katie Cosgrove as its newest director.
The company is one of the largest independent accountancy firms in the North West dealing with clients in Liverpool, the wider Merseyside area, Chester and North Wales.
The expert team deals with all aspects of accountancy, audit, business advisory and tax planning services while working closely with businesses to provide incisive, confidential and straightforward advice.
Katie, 31, is now one of seven directors at McLintocks, working as part of a team of more than 50. She joined the practice in 2013 after working for a Liverpool branch of a national firm for eight years where Katie trained and qualified as a chartered accountant and then later as a chartered tax advisor.
On her appointment she said: “I am excited to have been asked to become a director of a firm whose ethos of ’the client comes first’ mirrors my own. For so many clients we are not only their accountants but also their trusted business advisors, taking them through every possible aspect of their business, from start up to eventual sale.
“For this reason I am very proud to be a director of McLintocks and look forward to continuing to grow the business and to look after our clients in the same spirit.“
As a director, Katie will continue to work closely with a wide range of owner managed SMEs who are in need of assistance with their general tax and accounting affairs, whilst also offering services including management accounts, year-end accounts and tax planning to long-established businesses.
Fellow director Paul McGerty said: “At McLintocks we are a forward thinking practice and over the past 18 months Katie has shown that her aspirations match our own. We are hugely excited about the appointment, as with Katie’s wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm we are excited about the future together and consider ourselves a formidable team.“
