Cheeseburn Sculpture open to public in May
Over two weekends this May, Cheeseburn Sculpture will open its doors for the public to view the sculpture gardens set in the grounds surrounding Cheeseburn Grange in Stamfordham.
Following a hugely successful launch in October 2014, Cheeseburn will give visitors the chance to view work by artists including Joseph Hillier and William Peers, whilst the Early May Bank Holiday will see the unveiling of brand new work by Newcastle University’s Head of Fine Art, Richard Talbot created in tandem with his brother Neil.
Cheeseburn will extend its opening across both May Bank Holiday weekends so as many art and sculpture fans as possible are able to enjoy the sculpture and the gardens.
Visitors can take a self-guided tour of the gardens by picking up a map on arrival (or downloading from the website cheeseburn.com) - the tour should take around an hour, and is entirely free of charge, though any donations are gratefully received as all proceeds help support and sustain the gardens and gallery.
Home-cooking and refreshments will be available to purchase.
