Young talent burns bright at Flame
Trade supplies firm Flame Heating Spares has taken on two apprentices, and is looking for a third as it grows its business in the North East.
The firm currently has three trade counters across the region, in Gateshead, Durham and South Shields, supplying parts for commercial and domestic heating systems.
Shannon Greener, 17, from Peterlee, has joined the Durham team, in Dragonville, as a business administration apprentice.
Also, while 16-year-old Jack Wingrove, from Hebburn, has taken up a customer service and warehousing apprenticeship in the branch at Team Valley.
Flame is aiming to fill a third new role, an administration apprenticeship in Team Valley.
The company is working with training provider Ixion Holdings Ltd, which also placed Shannon and Jack, to fill the new post.
John Savage, Managing Director of Flame Heating Spares, said: “As we continue to grow Flame Heating Spares, it’s important that we look for opportunities to take local people with us on the journey.
“Shannon and Jack have settled in well and are already becoming enthusiastic members of the team, and we are looking forward to adding another young person to the staff.
“This is a year of further growth for our business, and we are excited at the prospect of finding a third apprentice to work in our lead branch, in Team Valley.”
Paul Taylor, Employment Engagement Executive at Ixion Holdings, said: “Ixion is proud to help and support Flame Heating Spares with their apprenticeship requirements and training needs.”
Anybody who is interested in applying for the apprenticeship can send a CV and cover letter to paul.taylor@ixionholdings.com.
