Skelmersdale-based Europanel secures £100k funding
A Skelmersdale company which manufactures panels and display boards for major high street retailers has received a £100k loan from Rosebud Finance to support its growth after winning a series of new contracts.
Europanel, which employs 27 staff at its premises in Skelmersdale, is planning to create four additional jobs to fulfill the new orders and deal with an increase in demand from existing clients, which include Marks & Spencer, Betfred and Boots.
Europanel started life over 20 years ago as a kitchen manufacturer and is owned by Paul Rooney, its Managing Director, and Nick Lawton, the Sales Director.
The company supplies its products via shopfitting companies.
Paul Taberner of Enterprise Ventures said: “Europanel’s boards are used by some of the biggest names on the high street. Sales have been rising year on year and the company has continued to invest in new equipment.
“The Rosebud loan will provide additional working capital to support its growing order book.”
Andy Walker, Lancashire County Council’s head of business growth, said: “We’re pleased that Rosebud is directly supporting this niche sector of advanced manufacturing, which we’ve identified as an area with high-growth potential.
“Rosebud aims to grow the economy and create new jobs here in Lancashire. So contact us if you’re interested in finding out more about how we can help your business to grow.”
