Bradford City pursued by other bidders behind Paladini
The second half of the Bradford City takeover saga has just got a lot more interesting.
Earlier this month news broke that the West Yorkshire football club was holding discussions with the former Queens Park Rangers chairman Gianni Paladiniabout a possible takeover.
The Italian businessman is believed to be very close to becoming the new owner of City, but since his confidentiality agreement with the board expires tomorrow, there are several other rival bidders waiting to make an offer, according to theTelegraph & Argus.
City are able to extend its exclusive agreement with Paladini, should he require more time, but only if there has been significant progress towards a deal. If this isn’t the case, the football club will be able to listen to other bidders.
However, City want to a definite answer from Paladini by the end of May, so they are able to prepare for next season accordingly.
Ever since leaving loftus Road in 2011, Mr Paladini has been trying to get back into football and most recently he unsuccessfully attempted a takeover at Millwall.
In addition, Paladini has also listed as a Director of Bradford City Holdings since February, but this isn’t connected with the football club
In the midst of this takeover debacle, fans have had growing concerns about the delay in season ticket announcements, but the Club has assured its supporters that the prices are being finalized and a ticket launch should take place next week.
