Newcastle mobile technology company strengthens team with new recruits
Omlis, a company offering mobile payment encryption technology, has increased its headcount to over 50 full time employees.
The Newcastle-based business has reached the milestone following the additions of with the recent appointments of new staff Frances Stainthorpe, Victor Valles and Latika Joshi.
These appointments are part of the firm’s growth plans after a series of recent contract wins to deliver their innovative mobile payments encryption products across Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Russia.
The accelerated adoption of mobile payments and the rapid growth of mobile and payment security issues have generated immense demand for encryption programming that provides absolute mobile security, fuelling Omlis’ accelerated growth.
An accomplished content marketer, Frances joined Omlis from her marketing role at the North East of England Process Industry Cluster (NEPIC) where she held copywriting, social media, communications and event management responsibilities.
With an MA in Events Management from Northumbria University, Frances brings in-house and agency PR experience to Omlis.
“I am passionate about the digital sector in the North East and the opportunity to be part of such an exciting business with tremendous potential is what I am looking for,” she said.
“The talent recruited within the business is world class and I am challenged to make sure that I play my part in making Omlis a truly world class organisation which also reflects positively on the digital sector in the North East.”
Mr. Valles, a Spanish national from Madrid has joined Omlis in a digital marketing capacity, with a specific focus on the Latin America and other Spanish speaking territories.
With an MA in Advertising and PR, Victor is a digital marketing professional with experience in digital campaign management across both German and Spanish speaking markets.
“I have relocated to the North East of England because I believe Omlis will change the world of mobile payments security and I really want to be a part of it,”
“I wasn’t sure about what to expect from Newcastle but it is such a beautiful and very friendly place and I am very happy with my decision to move from Spain to the North East.”
Meanwhile, Latika Joshi will be joining Omlis’ core technology team as a software developer. She brings to Omlis a solid background of programming and software development with over seven years’ experience in end-to-end solution development.
