Eco house plans for Peak District site
PROPOSALS have been submitted to the Peak Park Planning Committee for a unique eco-friendly home on the outskirts of Bolsterstone near Sheffield.
Sheffield planning consultancy Coda Planning has worked with architects Coda Studios to create plans for the single-storey four-bedroom property that will be built into the hillside on land at the edge of the community, just inside the Peak Park.
Taking the project to the Peak Park planners is Charles Dunn of Coda Planning.
“This is a truly exciting project, the ultimate eco-house not only utilising all the latest energy saving technology, but physically designed to make it as passive as possible” Charles explained.
“We are fully aware that the Peak Park planners are always very careful of allowing any new development in this area of unspoilt natural beauty but we sincerely believe that this project will add to the local community and enhance its setting.
“Built into the hillside and looking out over the spectacular valley and Broomhead Reservoir, it will be completely hidden from the road into Bolsterstone and our work on the scheme with Weddle Landscape Design will ensure that it blends perfectly into its environment, boosting biodiversity.
“We are confident that we have achieved a design solution that will meet all the demands of the Peak Park planners.”
