North East law firm supports local charity campaign
North East law firm DMA Law are backing a local charity initiative by holding a Will month during May in return for a donation to charity.
‘Superhero Day’ is being held on Friday 15th May and will raise funds for Cash for Kids across the region, helping disabled and disadvantaged children. DMA Law Link on Skinnergate, Darlington, has 31 available Wills that will be drafted by one of their Will experts in return for a £120 donation to Cash for Kids.
Kate Winter, from DMA Law, says “By taking part in this event not only are we supporting a fantastic charity, we’ve been given the opportunity to highlight to people the importance of making a Will.”
“The available 31 appointments are available on a first come, first served basis so we’re prompting people to call in as soon as they can. Also, if anyone happens to be passing DMA Law Link, Skinnergate particularly on Friday 15th May we will also be holding a bake sale. All proceeds will also be donated to Cash for Kids.”
Kara Hatton from Cash for Kids said “it’s great to have the support of local companies like DMA Law, showing that everyone in the North East can be a superhero by doing what they can to help raise much-needed funds for disabled and disadvantaged children in our area.”
A number of famous faces are also backing the campaign, including Geordie duo Ant & Dec, who will be hosting part of the TFM breakfast show on the day.
Companies and schools can still get involved in Superhero Day, either by dressing up for the day, sponsored activities, bake-days, donating proceeds, adding £1 on bills, dare-devil challenges, work whip-rounds, the crazier the better.
