Creseada International celebrates 30 years logistics

Nigerian-based logistics specialist Creseada International is celebrating 30 years of delivering trusted supply chain solutions for customers globally.

Founded in 1985 by Mike Ayinde, the company is based in Lagos with over 7,000 sq m of facilities near Murtala Muhammed International Airport (LOS), including seven warehouses, one of which is bonded; furthermore, an office dedicated to sea freight in Apapa.

“Integrity is the bedrock of our company and has guided all of our business decisions,” said Mike Ayinde, Founder and Managing Director, Creseada International.

“We have been providing customers with a dedicated logistics service for 30 years and we are looking forward to the next exciting three decades as our country continues to develop.

“A key element of our success has been our highly talented and committed workforce, which we recognise as our greatest asset to be developed and nurtured.”

Creseada, which offers a full suite of logistics services including Customs’ brokerage and warehousing, has offices also in Abuja and Port Harcourt with warehouse facility.

It has been a member of TRACE International Inc since 2009, demonstrating compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) regulations.

Ayinde has over 40 years’ experience in the freight forwarding industry and held senior roles at Piedmont Plywood, Alraine Nigeria Ltd, and Palm Line Agencies, before setting up Creseada.

Creseada is a member of The WACO System, an exclusive global freight management network, and as part of celebrations sponsored the Association’s Gala Dinner on Tuesday, 21st of April, 2015 at its Annual General Meeting (AGM) which took place in Rome, Italy.

“The WACO System is an important part of our business and we were delighted to celebrate this milestone with fellow members,” said Ayinde.

Nigeria is on track to become the third most populous country in the world by 2050 and is already the most populous country in Africa.

The Nigerian Government recently renewed its commitment to the agricultural sector, presenting new opportunities for export growth.

“These huge numbers are opportunities for commercial growth,” said Jonas Nilsson, General Manager, Creseada International.

“With completion of a democratic election in April, economic confidence is building and social reforms and new infrastructure investments are expected.

“All in all, the commercial horizon in Nigeria is bright and Creseada is looking forward to an exciting future as part of that.”

The WACO System has 106 members from 103 countries and hosts two events a year globally, providing hundreds of face-to-face business meeting opportunities for members.
