Property professionals support Children’s Hospice Week

Staff at Jordan’s estate agents are gearing up to run, cycle, row, walk, bake, dress up and even skydive in support of Children’s Hospice Week, which runs from 11-17th May.

Jordan’s is aiming to raise as much as possible during Children’s Hospice Week – and throughout 2015 - to support its chosen Charity of the Year, Together for Short Lives, the national charity for children with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions.

Each Jordan’s branch has been partnered with its nearest children’s hospice, Francis House Children’s Hospice, so staff can support sick children, young adults and their families locally.

As part of the company’s fundraising for Children’s Hospice Week, Jordan’s in Fallowfield are delighted to be collecting items for Francis House’s charity shop in Burnage. All of the donations will be handed over to the shop on May 15th.

Elsewhere Jordan’s branches will be holding a variety of fundraising events, including cake sales, raffles, street collections, children’s colouring-in competitions, golf days and much more. Many Jordan’s staff are looking forward to dressing up as heroes to celebrate the heroes who work in and support children’s hospices and to taking part in their own personal challenges, including long distance bike rides, walks, runs, rowing and skydiving.

Paul Weller, Jordan’s managing director, said: “We are delighted to be working with Together for Short Lives as our charity partner this year. Through them we know that every penny we raise will be put to great use helping children and young people with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions, and their families, get the best possible care and support whenever and wherever they need.

“Our local children’s hospice services are supported by Together for Short Lives so the money raised by each of our branches will directly benefit their local community.”

Together for Short Lives provides information and works closely with organisations and professionals that provide an important lifeline to children and families. It promotes the work of children’s palliative care services and also raises money for the 53 children’s hospice services across the UK, including Francis House Children’s Hospice.
