Awards hat-trick for Uniting Ambition
Uniting Ambition has crowned a series of recent successes with a third awards shortlist: the consultancy has now made it into the 2015 CIPD Recruitment Marketing Awards. Competing as a finalist for “Best Use of Video”, Uniting Ambition is delighted to be in the running for a total of three national awards with its creative LinkedIn Recruiter Story campaign.
Howard Murfin, Director at Uniting Ambition, comments, “In the space of a month, we’ve been shortlisted for “Best Digital Marketing Campaign” in the Big Chip Awards, “Best Marketing Campaign” in the Global Recruiter Awards and now “Best Use of Video” in the CIPDs. This is a phenomenal achievement by any standards and one of which we’re exceptionally proud.
“The CIPD Recruitment Awards are fiercely contested and recognise innovation, creativity and effectiveness achieved through best practice. To give an idea of their calibre, we’re finalists alongside household names such as Barclays, Boots, Carphone Warehouse, Delloite, Ford, Microsoft and Shell – to name just a few. For a business of our size this is as exciting as it is gratifying.”
Making this David vs Goliath contest possible is Uniting Ambition’s LinkedIn Recruiter Story campaign, the company’s unique internal recruitment video. Rather than your average recruitment video, LinkedIn Recruiter Story uses HTML5 to integrate with the professional social network and create personalised career recaps. Users can sign in via their LinkedIn account and view the story of their career journey put to animated motion. The real twist comes halfway through the video, where users are presented with a tongue-in-cheek preview of how fantastic their professional stories could become if they were to make a move into Uniting Ambition.
“Nothing like this campaign has ever been done before,” says Howard, “even amongst huge companies who specialise in video and marketing. With not one, not two but three prestigious national awards recognising its innovation, it’s an exciting time to be at Uniting Ambition.”
