Training Provider NCT Skills announce record turnover

NCT Skills is proud to announce a 45% increase in turnover in the 2014/5 financial year, securing contracts of £1.35 million compared to £750,000 the previous year.

The Newcastle based training provider engages with young people to help guide them into the world of work through traineeships and apprenticeships. Within the last year NCT Skills has appointed seven new members of staff, including Managing Director Ian Wood, Business Development Manager Corey Skeen, Centre Manager Steve Kirsopp and Compliance Manager Michael Atkinson.

NCT Skills predominant area of delivery is focused on bridging the skills shortage in the construction industry through their apprenticeships in bricklaying, plastering, joinery and roofing. However, in the last 12 months NCT Skills has expanded it’s offering into other sectors including social and digital media, business administration and leadership and management, a move that has increased opportunities for NCT Skills to work with local businesses to find the next intake of talent for their organisation.

NCT Skills Managing Director Ian Wood said: “We’re delighted at the progress NCT Skills is making in the training sector – we’re increasing our reach incredibly quickly without compromising the quality of leaners or the relationships we have with the employers.

“It takes a skilled team, with a huge amount of commitment, to deliver to a standard that can continue to reach new heights. We’re pleased to have spent the last year putting the right staff into place and can’t wait for them to help build on the success that those already within the business have established.”
