Double honours for Baker Tilly in Yorkshire
Accountancy firm Baker Tilly, which has offices in Leeds and Hull, has won two top industry awards in just one week.
The firm has just been named Best Accountancy Firm for Smaller Companies at the annual Finance Director’s Excellence Awards, adding to its win as Accountancy Firm of the Year 2015 at the FB Fashion Ball in Leeds last week.
The FD Excellence award, which was presented to Baker Tilly for services to companies with turnovers of below £25m, was based on the responses to a satisfaction survey sent to more than 1700 finance directors in UK firms. Baker Tilly beat off stiff competition from rival firms by achieving a client satisfaction score of 8.9 out of 10.
The FD Excellence awards programme for the UK’s best finance directors and their service providers was created by Real Business in 2004 and is held in association with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), and supported by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI).
Commenting on the award win, Kevin O’Connor, Regional Managing Partner at Baker Tilly in Yorkshire and the North East said:
‘It’s been a great week for Baker Tilly in Yorkshire and we’re delighted to have received these two prestigious awards. We place a high priority on providing excellent client care so it’s very pleasing that the hard work of all of our partners and staff has been recognised. What’s particularly special about the FD Excellence award is that it’s decided on by finance directors themselves, so it’s very gratifying to get such a positive endorsement from our counterparts in industry.’
