Runcorn-based Maltacourt acquires international carrier Mili-Cargo
Runcorn-based logistics partner Maltacourt has acquired international carrier Mili-Cargo to continue its expansion in Hungary for an undisclosed sum, supported by financial backing from The Royal Bank of Scotland.
Mili-Cargo specialise in the international distribution of chilled and ambient loads, and have a fleet of 50 trucks which will add significantly to the growing capabilities of Maltacourt both in Hungary and across the EU.
István Madarász founded the business and will continue as managing director, bringing with him over 25 years of freight and transport management expertise to Maltacourt.
Maltacourt has been driving growth within its Hungarian business over the past 12 months extending its capabilities beyond freight forwarding into specialist road distribution.
Chief Executive of Maltacourt, Matt Beech, said:“We have been strategically expanding our service offering, deepening our capabilities and growing the business assets.
“We set out just over a year ago with a plan to significantly grow our Hungarian business and I’m thrilled with the success so far.
