West Yorkshire property developer looks to expand after securing £5m NatWest funding deal
Conroy Brook, a Holmfirth-based property developer, has acquired a £5m funding deal from NatWest to financially support its forthcoming developments in the region.
The funding, which will enable the firm expand into South Yorkshire, will firstly help the construction of 22 four and five bedroom luxury family homes at developments in Barnsley and Doncaster.
In addition, building work at SummerFord in Ingbirchworth and Braeburn Mews in Bawtry will start later this year.
All of the firm’s properties combine traditional materials with contemporary fixtures, fittings and finishes, featuring German Siematic kitchens and Swiss Laufen bathrooms. Prices range from £300k to £600k.
Securing the NatWest funding deal has occurred whilst the firm is experiencing significant growth throughout all business operations, including its senior management team, headed up by CEO Richard Conroy and director Jason Brook.
The team also includes construction director, John Rodda, who joined the business following a move from Persimmon Homes in September last year, and Sales Director Jon Bailey, a former director at Ben Bailey Homes.
Mr Conroy, who has announced plans to grow turnover from £10m to £15m over the next five years, said: “We have a very clear idea of where we want to take the business and this latest funding deal is helping us to deliver on this strategy.
“To tie in with the incremental growth of the business, we are continuing to focus on maintaining the superior quality and enviable specification we include as standard in each of our homes. What we’re looking to do to enable us to achieve our anticipated growth is secure bigger developments, but never losing sight of what it is that makes a premium builder different to others that focus on volume alone. As a result of this, we expect to double our build capacity in the next 12 to 18 months alone.
“We have a long-standing relationship with NatWest having just completed a very successful development at Forge View in Sheffield where we sold all five properties with eight weeks of the showhome opening. We see this latest funding deal as a clear indication of the bank’s confidence in our plans to take our business forward over the next few years.”
Tim Groves of NatWest, added: “Conroy Brook has a proven track record in building and selling quality family homes which includes its very successful scheme in Sheffield.
“I am delighted that it has chosen NatWest as its funding partner for its next two developments which will create jobs in the Yorkshire area. I look forward to working with them in the future.”
