Metrobus launches 24-hour bus service to Gatwick

Follwing the success of its daytime route, Metrobus is launching a 24-hour service to Gatwick Direct on May 30.

The new night service will link Bewbush, Gossops Green, Ifield, Langley Green, Manor Royal and Gatwick Airport every hour through the night, seven days a week, according to Crawley News.

Nick Hill, Metrobus’ head of commercial development, said: “People need to get to Gatwick 24 hours a day and this improvement to the 200 is to cater for this, as well as providing a connection to Gatwick railway station with the night trains from London and Croydon.”

The new timetable goes hand in hand with the addition of four new buses on the current route, which already runs during the day.

The new fleet of vehicles, which all offer free wi-fi, are powered by Euro 6 engines, which reduce carbon monoxide emissions.
