Taylor&Emmet partner takes on four cities challenge

A keen cyclist from Sheffield’s Taylor&Emmet LLP is saddling up for an epic 380-mile ride around England to raise funds for the city’s Weston Park Hospital.

The firm’s head of business legal services, Rob Moore, will be joining a group of local professionals taking on 4Challenge 2015 in support of the dedicated cancer facility.

Rob is part of a 15-strong team cycling from London to Manchester and Leeds to Sheffield in just four days, from June 5-8. Organised by Taylor&Emmet client, Ask4, the challenge takes the group to the four internet service points in England and has been designed to test their mental as well as physical strength.

Taylor&Emmet has also agreed to sponsor the bus taking participants to London for the start of event, which is being organised to help Weston Park raise £10,000 to pilot digital information systems in its radiotherapy and outpatients departments. The scheme aims to improve the experience for visitors to the hospital by providing Freeview TV and information about waiting times and other services offered.

Rob said: “As my colleagues at Taylor&Emmet know, I am a keen fell runner and enjoy endurance events, but I’ve never attempted a cycling challenge on this scale before. We’ve all been training hard and I’m really looking forward to hitting the road. Sheffield is incredibly fortunate to have a facility as valuable as Weston Park on its doorstep and I want to thank the friends and colleagues who are helping me raise money for this very worthy cause.”
