Barratt Homes Walk to School Week
Local housebuilder Barratt Homes is supporting the Walk to School Week initiative and will be providing local children with luminous snap bands, to ensure that they are visible on their walk to and from school.
The Hedgerows in Thurcroft will be offering free snap bands to children currently living at the development, as well as children from the local area. Children should wear the band on their wrist whilst they walk to and from school to make sure they are visible to all motorists.
Walk to School Week takes place from 18th – 22nd May and it aims to encourage children to take to their feet and discover the health, social and environmental benefits of walking to school. Walk to School Week was launched in 1995 and brings together nearly one million school children, parents and teachers, encouraging them to take the five-day walking challenge.
Nicki Jefferson, Sales Manager at The Hedgerows commented: “We are so pleased to be involved in such a great initiative for local children. The Hedgerows has proven to be really popular with local families so it is great to be giving the snap bands away for free to ensure all children walking to school from the development and the local area can be seen more easily.”
The Hedgerows is a stylish collection of attractive three and four bedroom homes, available from £169,995, located in the charming village of Thurcroft near Rotherham. Dotted with green open spaces, the development benefits from a wonderful feeling of space, but also echoes the delightful village atmosphere of its setting.
