Business Growth Hub launches Let's Do This campaign
Business Growth Hub has launched its ‘Let’s Do This’ campaign, which aims to bring expertise, skills and advice to SMEs across Greater Manchester.
The campaign will help to raise awareness about the extensive support offered by the Hub across the 10 local authority areas through a series of workshops, seminars and masterclasses.
This launch builds upon the message of support from Chancellor George Osborne for North West businesses during his recent visit to Manchester. Through the Cities Devolution Bill, he announced an estimated £2bn in additional funding, and stated that Manchester will become a “blueprint for other cities”, underlining the government’s ambitions for the region’s businesses.
With companies likely to focus more heavily on growth strategies with the extra support, Business Growth Hub’s ‘Let’s Do This’ campaign strives to provides businesses with the tools to unlock their potential.
David Mapple, co-founder of media-intelligence company Outcider, has been selected as the face of the campaign. The Manchester-based firm provides a range of large and medium sized clients with its own unique media research software, combining news, social platforms and political data into one system. It has recently secured financial backing from the Hub’s Co-Investment Fund to help deliver a product development plan for the business.
Commenting on the support Outcider has received, David Mapple, said: “As a new business the need for a capital injection to help accelerate growth is high. After meeting with Business Growth Hub it was clear that there was a real opportunity to help my business develop through alternative funding. Following the investment, we are looking to roll-out the next version of our software within six months, which will be a huge achievement in our growth cycle.”
Richard Jeffery, director of Business Growth Hub, said: “Since our launch back in 2011, we have been growing our presence around the regions of Greater Manchester. This latest campaign will allow us to take our services to entrepreneurs in the local areas and help businesses achieve their ambitious growth targets. Companies such as Outcider have benefitted significantly from our support and we want to do the same with many more businesses out there.”
Business Growth Hub was founded three years ago and provides services to a range of businesses from start-up through to more established companies. These services include helping start-ups, supporting growth, partnering businesses with mentors, overcoming innovation challenges, better use of digital technology, improving sustainability, safeguarding jobs and accessing finance.
