Dinosaurs brought to life at North Yorkshire golf course
The Jurassic era has returned to North yorkshire as part of a £300k adventure golf course next to Lightwater Valley theme park.
After taking five months to construct, the 18-hole challenge course is the only one of its kind in the whole of Yorkshire.
Jurassic Adventure Golf features giant animatronic T-Rex, Triceratops and Diplodocus, as well as a rather larger Brachiosaurus, which all provide an interactive experience suitable for all ages.
Open all year round, the Jurassic Adventure Golf course costs £7.50 per adult, £21 for a family of three or £25 for a family of four. Under 3s are free of charge
Mark Bainbridge, general manager, Lightwater Valley, said: “This family attraction is a real boost to our offer and it’s suitable for experienced golfers and for people who’ve never picked up a putter before.
“Golfers will have to avoid the dinosaurs’ swishing tails as they negotiate their way round the course.
“With the Lightwater country shopping village and granary café also nearby, visitors can enjoy a round or two of golf followed by a bit of retail therapy and a bite to eat.”
The Jurassic Adventure Golf course is open all year round and tickets cost £7.50 per adult, £21 for a family of three or £25 for a family of four. Under 3s are free of charge.
