Charity chief delighted at Patron’s ranking

Mike Pratt, Chief Executive of Northumberland Wildlife Trust is delighted that the May issue of BBC Wildlife magazine, featuring its ‘power list’ of Britain’s top 50 conservation heroes includes its Patron Chris Packham.

Ranked second out of 50, Chris, the punk rocker of wildlife TV has never been afraid to speak his mind, organising a mission to Malta in spring 2014 to highlight the massacre of migratory birds, speaking out against the ongoing cull of badgers in the south of England and slamming ITV for its “barbaric” animal abuse on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!

A delighted Mike said: “Chris knows how to make headlines and get people talking which is why he is so popular with the staff, trustees and members of Northumberland Wildlife Trust, plus he has an amazing knowledge of wildlife which comes from a lifetime spent exploring the natural world.”
