Kenilworth Show sponsor returns for sixth year

Rix Petroleum Midlands has signed up to support popular agricultural event the Kenilworth Show on Saturday, June 6.

The event is a fun-filled, action-packed, exciting and educational day for all the family and is being held on the showgrounds opposite Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire.

The traditional agricultural and country show - organised annually by Kenilworth and District Agricultural Society (KADAS) - will feature a host of main ring attractions, including a pageant of carriages, grand parade of livestock and quad bike stunt displays.

There will also be plenty of children’s amusements and displays for the whole family to enjoy alongside a host of trade stands, food and drink outlets, and a new food market.

An array of local businesses have signed up to support the show again this year, with Rix Petroleum returning as a main sponsor for the sixth year running.

The fifth-generation family owned fuel distributor, the largest independent in the UK, has its Midlands base in Coleshill in Warwickshire and has a large agricultural client base across the region.

Paul Doherty, director at Rix Petroleum, said: “The agricultural sector is very important to our business so we enjoy having a large presence at agricultural events like the Kenilworth Show.

“Our fleet of tankers serve the farming community across Warwickshire and the surrounding counties and the show gives us a great opportunity to meet up with some of them in a relaxed environment and make new contacts too.”

Charlie Weetman, Kenilworth Show director, added: “The society is working hard to put on another great day out to present agriculture to the public in an exciting and interesting way.

“We’ve assembled a fantastic line up of entertainment across the showgrounds, from the main ring, trade stand areas, a new food court, and extended the countryside area, which includes clay shooting, gun dog training and scurrying.
