Durham’s NOF Energy partners with BVG to support supply chain development

Durham-based NOF Energy has announced BVG Associates as a consultancy partner to support members’ offshore wind activities.

The business development organisation for oil, gas, nuclear and offshore renewables sectors, has entered the partnership to support supply chain development.

A respected independent consultancy with expertise in the technology, implementation and economics of wind and marine energy-generation systems, BVG Associates has been at the heart of the development of the UK offshore renewables sector.

It has advised a large proportion of the significant suppliers and developers on how to maximise the opportunities for the sector.

As part of its support to NOF Energy members, BVG Associates will provide industry intelligence and take part in a number of events. Initially the partners are working together to develop an event for companies looking to enter the emerging United States offshore wind market.

Having opened an office in Detroit, Michigan, BVG Associates in perfectly placed to brief members with the skills, products and services that will be in demand from the infant US sector.

This activity complements NOF Energy’sHouston Network, which is designed to support UK and US members access opportunities in the oil & gas sector.

NOF Energy, which has almost 500 members, operates a Consultancy Partner programme currently made up of four energy analyst and intelligence providers. In addition to BVG Associates, NOF Energy works with Infield Systems Ltd, Douglas-Westwood,KPMG and, most recently, PwC.
