TLJ bolsters security for Bradford Salvation Army shelter
TLJ Security Systems, a leading supplier of smart security technologies to the accommodation industry, has helped secure a new Salvation Army service for people experiencing homelessness in Bradford.
The Hull-based company has installed its TLJ Infinity key card locking system at The Orchard, a recently renovated building in Bradford that houses an innovative Salvation Army project.
The Orchard opened its doors on 23 March and operates on a referral basis from the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council. Highly experienced specialist staff work alongside volunteers from the corps congregation and local community to play a part in the running of the centre.
TLJ’s Infinity key card locking system, which utilities RFID contactless key card technology, provides a communal lock for all visitors while offering control over who has access to certain areas of The Orchard building.
For example, a visitor can be provided with a key card that is in operation for a limited time period and will only provide access to the building’s main entrance and one bedroom only.
Luke Martin, managing director at TLJ, said: “Our TLJ Infinity system is the perfect solution for buildings such as The Orchard, which will have a number of different visitors at any one time, because it provides a high level of security while being easy to use.”
“Our locking system allows far greater control and better security than traditional locks, eliminating the problem of keys being lost, stolen or copied for future use.”
Julie Schmidt, service manager at The Salvation Army’s centre for people experiencing homelessness, The Orchard, said: “The card system supplied by TLJ is working very well at The Orchard and is proving to be more secure and efficient than using traditional keys. Importantly the whole system is popular with staff and residents.”
