Big name sponsors announced for Manchester Day

Engineering enterprise, Laing O’Rourke will act as the main sponsors for the event that will be attended by 10,000 people with 2,500 participants.

Other sponsors for Manchester Day include new build specialists Keepmoat, the Business Improvement District, Cruden Group, Daisy Communications Ltd, G4S, Galliford Try Infrastructure Ltd, Great Northern Square, ISG, Redgate Holdings Ltd, Telcom and Turner & Townsend Cost Management Ltd.

Each sponsor has strong ties to the city and will help ensure the success of Manchester as one of the North West’s flagship public events.

The day transforms Manchester into a massive carnival for the sixth year and occurs on the 14 June this year.

Executive Member for Culture and Leisure, Councillor Rosa Battle, said: “It’s fantastic to work with these high profile sponsors.

“Their involvement shows a clear commitment to the city and the esteem in which Manchester Day is viewed by business.

“Nothing quite matches up to the atmosphere that Manchester Day brings and we thank all our sponsors for helping to create yet another magical celebration showcasing the best of our city. “

Laing O’Rourke business leader for Construction in the North, Tom Higgins,said: “Laing O’Rourke is really pleased to be playing a big part in Manchester Day again this year.”
