Huddersfield agency achieves £350k turnover in first 6 months

A Huddersfield agency launched in January is already set to reach a £350k turnover after enjoying a very successful first year of trading.

Digital Velocity, specialising in ecommerce and digital marketing solutions, currently employs six full-time senior staff and has plans for further recruitment over the summer.

The agency has also experienced significant expansion recently, after acquiring offices in Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool and London.

Richard Taylor-Jones, the agency’s managing director, stated that the senior team had been chosen for its overall experience with a range of clients, which includes independent businesses, international brands, and specific expertise in websites, marketing and mobile technology.

Richard said: “With the British retail Consortium predicting that UK online retail sales will hit £52.25bn this year, e-commerce is hugely important to our economy and is an ever-changing industry that many businesses are struggling to keep up with.

“Our role is to use our knowledge to help businesses create a digital strategy that goes beyond simply selling products to maximise efficiencies, minimise costs and innovate online.”

The agency is currently working with national retailers and local SMEs to provide a solutions based service to introduce their clients and customers to new and innovate ways of operating a business online.

Richard added: “Our role is to educate businesses in the possibilities online trading can offer and help them leverage digital solutions in order to grow.”

“As we grow we want to be located close to our clients so that we can develop effective working relationships with them and a strong understanding of their business and objectives.

“Our specialism is in online commerce and marketing and we will be looking to build relationships with other local marketing specialists who may be able to provide our clients with niche services.”
